Liber Sau despre libertate. Free Or on Freedom
1.
atribute are?
ştii că e închisă înţelegi imediat că există o stare a uşii dechise, dualismul?
se năzare unor filosofi “logicieni” (pus inteligent in ghilimele).
Asta deşi mi-a dat bătaie de cap mult timp, că nu-i
Are un
Are sens noţiunea de libertate relativă? Atenţie: nu
parţială…
fiecare melodii multe, melodii infinite.
(Mircea Gheorghiu)
Free or on Freedom
Free or on Freedom
1. What kind of
questions does freedom answer to if you ask it? For not everything answers to
"why". If it answers, is it conditioned? Whom does it offer to
itself? With whom does it dance? With whom does it sing together? What
attributes does it have? What do you do with it? What is bigger and smaller
than it? And maybe I could make up questions to answer to myself and maybe I
would answer without asking.
2. How would one praise
freedom from jail? For I heard a jail man who said he was free; more free than
the outside people, you see, you cannot bind the word, the mind can be free.
How would an official praise freedom, poor fellow!? Or a sweeper or a cook? Is
it the same or looking for something we find richness, as Socrates was
joking...?
3. As regards freedom,
can we state something as if it were a door? I mean, when you know it's closed,
do you immediately understand that there is a state of the open door, the
dualism? Or you can understand the concept of freedom (that is, if freedom is a
concept and not a...being) without antithesis.
4. Maybe someone is
free without imprisoning others. I say it again: feeling better that you're
rich doesn't imply necessarily enjoying that others are poor, that makes sense only in a distorted mind.
5. There are grounds
that reveal themselves naturally in a single sentence, you don't need to be
exhaustive in your explanations, sometimes it's bad to be like this. Because of
this, instead of Kant's discussion related to freedom, I prefer the 1st Psalm
verse: and in the law of God is His will, and on His law he will ponder day and
night. OK. I dropped this bomb. Now, having filtered out the obfuscate ones, we
can go on.
6. The will wants, the
power accomplishes. So here's a first step, a first harmony: one takes as
musical notes the will, the power, and the truth and goes on the way of
freedom's music. That's after you've learned the composition rules. I mean the
laws that don't need to be known to make music in your head on notes like Bach.
But you can make use of a sheet of paper and a pen, a computer or a piano. The
rococo variations are freedom too.
7. This music, with
these kinds of notes, is not only a beautiful syntactical music that has only a
shape, a harmonious structure, but it also has a meaning, that is, semantics.
8. And, to use
pretentious philosophical terms, freedom is not a two-place predicate, as some
"logician" philosophers would conceive (cleverly put in inverted
commas). Well, is it really a predicate? Can we be just that serious? Also, that
is, they say, you can't speak of freedom with capital "F", but rather
that you're free to...and here they cleverly replace it
with..."something". These discussions of theirs won't make you free,
because they don't contain the truth, but rather reasons for fight.
9. It also has joy and
delight apart from meaning, for how else can a mind be, to say more, a soul,
when it grasps the truth, for knowledge of truth makes one free.
10. This burden is not
at all heavy, every mind, with some effort, can lift it.
11. The will, for
instance, in Schopenhauer's view, is a trickster who sees, who is carried on
his back by a powerful blind-man, that is, the reason. Even if this idea has long given me
headaches, because I wasn't able to realize the trick, can't be more than a
vulgar banality, if I think about it more deeply. Or do I really want to save
perverts by all means? Pal, you can desire what your reason tells you, don't be
so blind in your passions. It has a very eagle-esque eye, if I may be allowed
to draw a metaphor... I don't like being trendy just to ensure that nobody gets
upset...
12. For notes that are
in harmony with freedom need some explanations, that's why I insist on
explaining these ... notes...
13. So, of will I would also like to add that you
could desire something in absolute, not something bad. What does this mean?
Well, I could desire the making of a universe, like a composer wants to compose
a piano sonata. Ok? OK. The will wants to, but I have no reason, I don't know
how, I don't have any talent... In short: my word is undressed of power. Do all
these imply that there's no absolute freedom except to the extent that I could
create, to put it straightforwardly, a universe with word? Does the notion of
relative freedom make any sense? Be careful, not partial...
14. Sometimes it's
better to explain more, anyhow. So: partially, quantity is involved, that is,
"a piece of". While, relatively, it does not contradict the absolute.
Consequently, a relative freedom can exist...even though I can't create a
Universe.
15. Now: the truth,
again, I don't think it's quantitative, despite the fact that Nietzsche's
quotation can apply for the upheaval of mind and its placement in a state of
thought. And what would that be? Precisely this: the Truth is not already made,
but it's as much as you dare of it.
16. In short, what is
not true? True is not a letter, true is not a single word, true is not a single
sentence or judgment, the true is not a context. Or maybe in Chinese, or maybe
a character or a sign. I'm not hereby talking of the Word, with capital letter
this time.
17. These scarcely are
the notes, let's now assemble a bit of music.
18. Suppose a
situation: And if I had been Bach's slave, with him serving me through music
more than I had affectionately cleaned his yard, here's a man for whom I would
give my life. Here's a case of freedom.
19.
Or without any presuppositions: Even if I had crossed the street where I
led a school mate some while ago, a colleague who was two tall for me,
and if nothing happened between us more than the fact that we loved on
the street, without even kissing each other, not even touching each
other, here's a case of freedom. And if I had crossed the road where
some kids were beating me and I didn't care like an old wiseman, here's a case of freedom. And if I had walked down the road in the night in places led by her, here's a case of freedom. And if I had been a dude who barely walks like a fly round his mother's skirt and if I had grown only a bit and didn't have the courage to cover all the road, here are cases of freedom. And if I passed nearby and recalled the sports field and the sports hour from school and as I knew that I had to step in, here's a case of freedom. And if I remembered an old piece of iron that gave me a strange wit, here's a case of freedom. And if I have
remembered that me and another girl loved each other, but you refused
to be together, I'm still free. And if some dogs bark at me, I'm still
free. And if I broke up with my wife and it hurt me so badly, here's a
case of freedom.
20. And if I have and I don't have, here's a case of freedom. And if I found what I had hidden on my chest I tuck my right hand and I wouldn't change all these, for here I am in quiet, I'm finally here, I've arrived to rest, I'm free.
20. And if I have and I don't have, here's a case of freedom. And if I found what I had hidden on my chest I tuck my right hand and I wouldn't change all these, for here I am in quiet, I'm finally here, I've arrived to rest, I'm free.
21. So long as it's possible, for love grows, but it's also high quality.
22. And I sigh, and I would go back to the cave, even if I know I would be beaten again, as when I was little, or at least I would speak like Plato.
23. And even if I have no power and my pockets are broken, and if I have no mug and I sleep in the forest.
24. One listens to this music and takes it into her/his soul.
25.
And if I had made all the musical notes of the world and all sounds and
I had given them for you to sing with them, so that each of us would
compose many melodies, infinite melodies. And if I had made all colors and nuances and had
given for you to paint with them infinite pictures. And if I had made
all numbers and trees and the grass and I had let you count them, infinitely, if you want. And if I had made
all forms and lines and had let you sculpt the infinity column, and sew
them a hem and in sleeve, in reflected petalled collar and in stones to
admire them infinitely. And if I had put odors in the wind, in earth and seasons to smell each and every day from the century uniquely, to smell as if you were the infinite. And if I had put into touch infinite touchings, and, if more than this I would give to you, would you love me? Or maybe not, because I'm a man!
26.
You don't have to respect the law, at least if you thought about it day
and night. And if it pisses you off, step on it. You should know that I
highly value your freedom, for against love there is no law.(transl. Camil Cardaș)
